UDHAMPUR, June 30: Minister of State for Finance & Information Technology, Pawan Kumar Gupta,  accompanied by Alok Mengi,  Chief Engineer PWD  Jammu,  Paramjeet Singh Sehgal, Superintending Engineer PWD Udhampur   and  Rajesh Gupta, Executive Engineer PWD Udhampur,  inspected various school buildings and road in Udhampur town and issued on-spot instructions for their improvement.
On the occasion, the Minister gave instructions for widening of Sairgah Road Udhampur. While inspecting buildings of Government Higher Secondary School (Boys), the Minister gave instructions for giving modern shape to this building and equip it with modern infrastructure.
Mr Gupta disclosed that a plan for shifting of Government Higher Secondary Schools (Girls) to other suitable place and raising of parking slot in place of existing building was under active consideration. He exhorted the functionaries of PWD to incorporate the roads of Udhampur constituency under various schemes for their improvement and not to compromise with the quality of work.
Pawan Gupta also informed that the roads of Udhampur constituency, which are in shabby condition, would be improved and upgraded very soon. Besides, other developmental schemes shall also be implemented in phased manner and in the coming days, Udhampur constituency will witness tremendous development, he added.
Mr Gupta said that during short period of three months, he got installed hand pumps, exchanged transformers, repaired tractor road at various places in Udhampur constituency, constructed lanes and installed street lights while proposed construction of more lanes and drains in various Wards of Udhampur Municipal Council was in offing.
