POONCH, July 2: National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Rajouri-Poonch organised an awareness programme on financial literacy at Government Higher Secondry School, Mandi.
On the occasion, Manjeet Singh, Principal of the school was the chief guest, whileas Mohammad Shafi Ayaz, Lead District Manager, Poonch, Anmol Singh, District Coordinator, FLCC, Poonch, Javed Ahmad, Branch Manager, J&K Bank, Mandi, SK Raina, Branch Manager, J&K Grameen Bank, Mandi, staff and students of the school were also present.
Des Raj, District Develop-ment Manager, National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), Rajouri/ Poonch explained the participants the objective of organising this programme.
Anmol Singh, District Coordinator, FLCC, Poonch highlighted the Prime Minister Jan Dhan Yojna (PMJDY) and asked all the participants to open an account with the nearby branch.
Javed Ahmad, Branch Manager, J&K Bank, Mandi addressed the students and explained different deposit schemes of the bank.
Mohammad Shafi Ayaz, Lead District Manager, Poonch also highlighted the educational loans facilities for the benefits of the students to pursue higher studies and procedure to avail it.
A quiz competition was also held which was conducted by Mohammad Shafi Ayaz, Lead District Manager, Poonch.
In the end, Manjeet Singh, Principal of the school presented vote of thanks.
