JAMMU, July 5: JKP XI registered win over Patel Cricket Club (PCC) by 7 wickets and sailed into next stage of the ongoing Chevrolet Cricket Cup, being played at KC Public School cricket ground.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, PCC scored 104 runs in 20 over. Nitin Mehra played a splendid inning of 45 runs, whereas Ashu made 14 runs.
From JKP XI side, Sahil was pick of the bowler with 4 wickets, whereas Shamsher Singh took 2 wickets.
In reply, JKP IX chased the target in 14 over and won the match by 7 wickets. Rajesh Gill scored 39 runs and Farunk made 19 runs.
From PCC side, Sahil took 2 wickets and Sanjay scalped 1 wicket.
Sahil of JKP XI was declared as man of the match and was awarded with Westside coupon worth Rs 500.
