Coming down heavily on Pakistan’s claim that Indian spy drone was shot down on the Line of Control, Army today denied the report and said that no such incident took place.
”No UAV has crossed towards Pakistan’s side and no such device has been shot down on the LoC in Bhimber Sector,” Col S D Goswami, Northern Command based Spokesperson, Ministry of Defence here told reporters.
Earlier Pakistan claimed that an Indian spy drone was shot down by Pakistani forces along the Line of Control (LoC) today after it intruded into its airspace, as per a report. The Pakistani military said the Indian drone was brought down for “violation of Pakistan’s territorial integrity”.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), in a brief statement, said the Indian drone was brought down near the Line of Control in Bhimber area of Pakistan occupied Kashmir.
The incident comes just days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif’s ice-breaking meeting in Russia. (AGENCIES)
