JAMMU, July 16: A meeting of the representatives of J&K Government Employees and Workers Joint Action Committee (GEWJAC) was held today under the chairmanship of Babu Hussain Malik, State president of the Union, to discuss the demands of the employees.
The meeting discussed in threadbare the demands of the employees including removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, release of pending 6% DA, increase of medical allowance from Rs 300 per month to Rs 2000 per month, dislocation allowance to all officials, release of budget for early disposal of all the pending cases of GP Fund withdrawal, regularization of daily rated workers/contractual employees and Anganwari workers, provision of transfer for employees of Civil Secretariat to outside and outside employees to Civil Secretariat and merger of 50% into basic pay.
