JAMMU, July 17: JKCC defeated YCC by 8 wickets to advance in the Shaheed Bhagat Singh Gold Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Youth National Conference, Gandhi Nagar at Satwari Cantt ground, here.
Earlier, put into bat, YCC scored a modest total of 104 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Kalu top scored with 32, while Manu contributed 27 runs to the total. For JKCC, Aman and Puneet took 2 wickets each, while Monu claimed one.
In reply, JKCC chased the target by losing 2 wickets to win the match by 8 wickets. Ashu was the top scorer with unbeaten 43 runs, while Jatt Kaka contributed 34 runs. Shonu claimed one wicket for YCC. Ashu was declared as man of the match for his brilliant batting display.
