MENDHAR, July 20: A villager had a narrow escape while his buffalo died in the mine blast near Line of Control at Dogri Tekri in Balakote sector, here today.
Reports said that a villager namely Abdul Rashid, son of Mohd Hussain was grazing his cattle in the area when the mishap took place. Even as Abdul Rashid had a narrow escape in the blast, his buffalo sustained severe splinter injuries and died after some time.
Meanwhile, the locals have demanded sanitization of the area to avoid such incidents, which used to take place here.
