UDHAMPUR, July 20: Demanding release of their pending salary, ITI / CP workers in the PHE Department announced indefinite strike and held a demonstration at PHE complex, MH Chowk Udhampur, under the leadership of Ajay Samalia.
Protester raised slogans against PHE authorities and alleged discrimination with them. While addressing the gathering, speakers lamented that ITI/CP workers of the department have not received their wages of last 24 months and after a big hue and cry concerned authorities of department were going to release their wages for 15 days only. On the other hand in the Kashmir division, PHE Department has released the wages of ITI/CP workers for six months and this is clear discrimination with Jammu workers, they added.
In his address, Ajay Samalia warned that such discrimination with ITI trained/CP workers would not be tolerated at any cost and therefore indefinite strike was being announced.
