UDHAMPUR, July 21: Forest Department conducted series of seized, recovered 72 scants of Fir and booked three culprits, falling under the jurisdiction of Thanidar Beat of Bali Tirshi block, today.
On the specific information and inputs of B M Sharma, Conservator of Forests East circle, Jammu, Forest team headed by Surinder Nath, Range Officer Dudu with assistance of police party headed by Mahesh Sharma, SHO Chenani and under the direct supervision of S Harmohinder Singh, Divisional Forest Officer, Udhampur conducted raids at village Kither of tehsil Chenani in houses of Romesh Kumar son of Shanker Dass, Baldev Chand son of Jameetu and Mohinder Singh son of late Chuni Lal and seized Fir.
Searches and operations are in progress in adjoining areas to assess further extent of damages if any.
