10 injured in 2 road mishaps

MENDHAR, July 21: Ten persons were injured in two separate road accidents in Mendhar, here today.
Reports said that eight passengers were injured when an overloaded Tempo was rammed into a boulder by the driver after failure of brakes and bursting of a tyre at Basoni, this morning. The Tempo, bearing registration number JK12-4119, was on way from Balakote to Mendhar when it met with the accident.
The injured passengers were shifted to Sub-District Hospital Mendhar where three of them were referred to District Hospital Poonch in view of serious injuries. They were identified as Sabjaan of Nowshera, Seema Aijaz of Balakote and Sakina Bi of Balakote. Those undergoing treatment at SDH Mendhar, were identified as Nazir Hussain (Sarpanch Lanjiote) of Balakote, Mohd Sidiq of Balakote, Parveen Akhtar of Balakotre, Rehan Azim of Ari and Safriya Bi of Balakote.
In a separate road accident, a father and his son were injured when their Alto car collided with a Tipper at Bhata-Dhurian, under the jurisdiction of Police Station Gursai. The car, bearing registration number JMUBA-1126, was on way from Jammu to Poonch while the Tipper was coming from the opposite direction.
