Srinagar, July 22: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) man today committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle in Sopore area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
The CRPF man has been identified as Head Constable L R Thakrey, posted with C-company of 179th Battalion. He was on sentry duty at Company headquarters at Chinkipora locality of Sopore when he shot himself this morning.
Thakrey was rushed to nearby hospital by his colleagues but the doctors declared him brought dead. Police have filed a case in this regard.
