KATHUA, July 26: A Village Defence Committee (VDC) member of Tilla in Billawar was injured when his gun went off accidentally.
According to a police spokesperson, VDC member identified as SPO Vijay Singh (40) son of Ram Dhan, a resident of Tilla in Billawar, was cleaning his three nut three gun when it went off accidentally injuring his right shoulder. The accident happened last afternoon after which the injured SPO was rushed to a nearby hospital from where he was later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu.
The condition of the injured was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
