SRINAGAR, July 26: NGO ‘Jiyo Aur Jeene Do’ organized a function to honour the players of J&K Taekwondo Association who have won many gold, silver and bronze medals in Open Taekwondo Championship held at CRPF Camp, Batamaloo, here.
The coaches namely Nitin Rathore, Aneet Raina and Sidharth Sharma were also honoured on the occasion.
The motive of the function was to felicitate the work and sports spirit of such talented sportsmen. Speaking on the occasion, the president of NGO, Tariq Shah said, “ We feel very proud to honour these young talented players who have brought laurels to our State. We just feel the need to motivate them because they are like the young seeds which need favourable environment to grow”.
Those who received medals included Harjeet Kaur (gold ), Vishakha (gold ), Manshi, Sheetu  (silver), Dhananjay (silver), Shivom Singh (bronze), Viraj S Jadhav (silver), Yash Kumar           (bronze), Krishna (bronze) and others.
The members of NGO who organized the event included Parveen Akhter, Ajay Rajput Sungh, Pramod Sharma, Joginder, Sanjay, Vijay and Baldev Singh.
