JAMMU, July 27: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance in Miran Sahib area of city outskirts while a man killed in a stove blast at his residence in Udhampur district.
A youth identified as Rajat Kumar (18) son of Mast Ram, a resident of Kharia (Miran Sahib) was yesterday rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu, after he consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. However, he expired there late last night. The body of the deceased was today handed over to his family members for last rites after conducting post mortem.
A 45-years-old man identified as Raj Kumar (45) son of Bisav Singh, a resident of Chattisgarh (at present Udhampur) was seriously injured in a stove blast at his temporary residence last night. He was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur but around midnight he was referred to GMCH Jammu, where he expired this afternoon about 3.30 pm.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital for conducting postmortem tomorrow.
In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance.
