Relief holders highlight demands

JAMMU, July 28: All Kashmiri Migrant Relief Holders held a meeting under the chairmanship  of  Sunil Pandita. The meeting expressed  concern over the prolonged delay in the reshuffle of Relief organization.  Sunil Pandita alleged that despite official declaration made by the Relief authorities more than four months back no reshuffle has been made till date. He alleged that the delay has created suspicion among migrants who smell some fishy between the existing staff and higher-ups in the Government.
Sunil Pandita in his address demanded clear-cut  Government policy over the rehabilitation of migrants in Valley and  demanded onetime  settlement of Kashmiri migrants. Further he requested  Relief Commissioner  to hold Panchayat or ward election in the township so that real representatives come forward which will ultimately minimize rush of psedo and so called self styled leaders in relief office .
He demanded renovation of residential blocks at Jagti constructed over four years back.
Ajay Bhat President alleged that despite clear cut instructions given by the  Health Minister Choudhary Lal Singh no medicine supply or ambulance has come to health center Jagti. He demanded immediate supply of medicine ,ambulance and posting of doctors at health center Jagti.
He demanded timely supply of ration to the camp inmates and release of cash assistance in the first week of every month. He said that supply of ration items on last day of the month makes the migrant families suffer in many ways.
Among others M.L.Ganjoo, Sunil Kumar, Sunil Raina, Rajender Pandita, Rakesh Koul, Ramesh Jee, Rinku Jee, T K Bhat, also spoke in the meeting.
