Academy of Art, Culture & Languages organizes folk music programme

RAJOURI, Aug 5: Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Sub Office Rajouri, organized a folk music programme at Harsh Niketan Hr Secondary School Sunderbani, here.
The programme started with a  folk music  item sung by  local musician Joginder Paul and party, which mesmerized the jam packed hall of  audience with their thrilling voices.
Other artists who performed on the occasion included Nishu Sharma and party, Rampaul, Wasim Anjum, Devraj, Darshan Lal, Ravikant, Muzammal Shah and party, Neeru Sharma and party, Ropali Sharma and other artists. They sung their musical items in local languages especially in Gojjry, Pahari and Dogri Languages to encourage the young artists of the area.
The programme was presided over by O P Sharma, while Punkaj Sasan, Tehsildar Sunderbani was the chief guest and O P Shakir was the guest of honour.
The programme conducted with a superb presentation by KK Khaki,  renowned  artists of the area . Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest appreciated the working of Dr.Alamdar Adam, Cultural Officer, Rajouri and spoke on the importance of Cultural and Literary activities.
Mulk Raj Sharma, Managing Director of Harsh Niketan presented the vote of thanks.
