JAMMU, Aug 5: The skaters of Jodhamal School brought laurels to the institution by winning eight gold, fourteen silver and nine bronze medals in the J&K Roller Skating Association’s State Championship-2015, organized by the Pallavi Group Katra at Pir Kho, here.
In addition, Jodhamal School Sub-Juniors (Boys) Quads bagged 2nd and 3rd prize, while Sub Junior (Boys) Inline got 1st and 2nd prize, besides team Jodhamal won maximum number of medals amongst all the participating Schools in this championship.
The students were coached by Kamal Anand and Aman Anand, Skating Coach of Jodhamal School.
The students who won medals included Arav Sharma (3 silver), Yuvraj Singh (3 gold, 1 bronze), Gursimran Kour (1 gold, 2 silver), Eklavya Mahajan ( 1 bronze), Chirag Mahajan (1 bronze), Veer Manhas (1 silver, 2 bronze), Gaganjot Singh (1 silver), Lavish Jamwal (1 bronze), Aditya Dev Singh (1 gold), Yuvraj Singh (1 silver), Jaideep Singh (1 silver), KeshavBasotra (1 gold), Panini Sharma (1 gold, 2 bronze), Vansh Rajput ( 1 silver), Rakshit Saini (1 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze-1), Rishav Basotra ( 1 silver) and Vashu Manhas ( 1 silver).
The winners were felicitated in a special assembly by Principal, Trilok Singh Bist, who said that the route to success lies in hard work and dedication.
He applauded the efforts of the students and their coaches for winning the maximum medals in this tournament.
Vice Principal, Monika Sethi awarded the medals to the winners and Coordinator Nandini Bakshi gave away certificates.
