JAMMU, Aug 10: A young girl today made an abortive attempt on her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence in Channi area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl identified as Nahima Choudhary (18) daughter of Mohd Latif, a resident of Pamposh Colony, Channi, this morning consumed some poisonous substance at her residence following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be stable.
However, it was not known why she took this extreme step. The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
