JAMMU, Aug 11: Joint Migrant Education Employees Association in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of Bharat Bushan has taken Government to task for its discriminatory attitude towards the displaced Pandits and lambasted it for posting the migrant teachers in Ladakh and Kashmir Valley without addressing the genocide issue of this miniscule minority.
The meeting said the Government instead of addressing the genocide issue of Kashmiri Pandits who are leading an exiled life for last over 26 years in Jammu and other parts of country are facing total humiliation through the hands of Government which is subjecting them to further persecution.
The meeting said that instead of posting the migrant teachers in camp schools at Jammu which lack staff and other facilities, the Government has issued posting orders of these teachers in Ladakh and Kashmir Valley despite the fact that the situation in Kashmir is deteriorating day by day.
The meeting alleged that the education authorities have failed to look into the problems of migrant schools which have no facilities like buildings, libraries and practical equipments.
The meeting urged the Government to refrain from posting the migrant teachers to Kashmir Valley and Ladakh without addressing the genocide issue of the community.
