UDHAMPUR, Aug 20: Four days Divisional Level Inter District Cricket Tournament under 14 years Boys organised by Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) commenced today.
In the tournament, a total of nine teams from ten districts of the Jammu province are participating except Kathua.
The tournament was declared open by MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia, who was the chief guest on the occasion, in presence of Ashok Kumar, Deputy Director, Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS).
While speaking, Balwant Singh Mankotia exhorted the participating players to participate in the physical activities more and more as sports keep person physically fit and strong.
He also announced cash award of Rs 11,000 and Rs 5,000 for the winner and runner-up teams respectively.
Among others present were Dhani Ram Atri, Advocate Maha Dev, Sunil Paroach, Sunil Badyal, Zonal Officers, PEM and PET of the department.
The tournament is being organised under the supervision of Sukhdev Singh, District Youth Services and Sports Officer (DYSSO).
