JAMMU, Aug 18: Apple Kids International Pre-School, Bantalab held a Hindi poem recitation competition in the School premises here today.
The theme of the competition was “Patriotism”. Students recited beautiful poems on Jhansi Ki Rani, Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters using prompts and dressing like the Great personalities.
Some students recited poems on Courageous Indian Army and expressed their desire to serve their country after growing up. They also made everyone remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters to make our country free from the British rule. Full of enthusiasm, the students recited patriotic poems which enthralled everyone present there.
In the finals, three students who were the best speakers from each class were adjudged as first, second and third. Puja Sharma, Principal of the School, applauded the efforts of the students and announced the names of the winners.
In Play Group, Taksheel Raina and Yashita Bhat claimed first and second position respectively, while in Pre-KG, Aadhya Sharma, Gunjan Badawan and Vamika Sharma won first, second and third positions respectively.
In Junior-KG, Nishesh won the first place, Mrinallini bagged second spot and Adhvik Raina claimed the third position, while in Senior-KG, Arshiya Sharma, Ansh Misri and Yagyanshi bagged the first three places respectively.
