SRINAGAR: Taking a jibe at Pakistan for being adamant on inviting separatist leaders for a meeting in the national capital on the day NSA-level talks are slated between New Delhi and Islamabad, former chief minister Omar Abdullah said isn’t this the same Pakistan that forgot how to spell Kashmir in Ufa.
“But isn’t this the same Pakistan that forgot how to spell Kashmir in #Ufa? #ConfusedPakPolicy,? Mr Abdullah, who is also the working president of National Conference (NC) wrote on micro-blogging site Twitter.
“At least one country seems firm on something. Is it any wonder that #ConfusedPakPolicy is trending today!,” Mr Abdullah wrote. Mr Abdullah was referring to the reports that Pakistan has hardened its stand over meeting leaders from all the factions of Hurriyat Conference in New Delhi on August 23, when NSA-level talks between India and Pakistan are scheduled to be held.
Meanwhile, accusing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and Member of Parliament Mehbooba Mufti of positioning herself to take credit for the release of separatist leaders, said, “Now watch Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed find a scapegoat to blame for the arrest of the Hurriyat leaders.”
“Serious question – just who is running J&K these days”, Mr Abdullah asked. (AGENCIES)
