Samprati honours padamshree M L Kemmu

JAMMU, Aug 20: Samprati organized an invigorating evening with vetern actor, theatrist, writer and director, Padamshree  M L Kemmu at K L Sehgal Hall, today.
In presence of a gala gathering comprising of eminent personalities from the field of acting, fine arts and literature  Kemmu presented his drama sketch ‘bhoog’in his unique style.
Bhoog is a one to one interaction between a migrant Kashmiri Pandit and Yaksha. This sketch depicted in depth the continuity of age old rituals, traditions  and culture despite the problems of loosing homeland and everything with it. The pain of migration and its effects on Kashmiri Pandits were well depicted in this sketch.
In this programme, the presidium was attended by  Makhan Lal Saraf veteran actor  and writer besides president Samprati Dr R L Bhat. After his masterly presentation it was evaluated and talked by various people including Dr P N Trisal, Prof H L Misri , P N Shad, B N Betab, O Ambardar, Dr R L Bhat, P N Sayil, Dr Rajeev Bhat, A K Naz and Dr A N Prashant and was critically appreciated as a master piece of satire, collage and emotions .
The sketch drama ‘bhoog’ was followed by a multilingual mushaira which was presided by the noted poet and writer Balkrishan Sanyasi.
The poets who recited their kalaams included Sehar Ganderbali, Dr. R L Bhat, Pradeep Khudbali, Dr A N Prashant, Kundan Paaras, Aagosh Arigami, A K Zadu, Dr Roshan Saraf, Kusum Dhar, M K Santoshi, Bimla Aima, Santosh Naadan, T N Vishwas, Ashok Gowhar, B N Abilash, B N Betab, K L Ticku, Bhushan Malmohi, P N Shad, Maharaj K Maharaj, Tej Sagar , B L Arpan, B K Sanyasi  and P N Sayil. Vote of thanks was presented by secretary Samprati Kundan Paaras.
