MENDHAR, Aug 21: A young housewife was allegedly raped by a youth residing in her neighbourhood at village Mankote last evening.
A police spokesman said that 23- year old woman, Shamim Akhtar (name changed), was all alone at home when 22-year-old Mehboob Ahmed, son of Abdul Kabir, entered her house and forcibly committed sexually assaulted on the woman. She narrated the matter to her husband when he reached home. The family lodged an FIR No. 109/ 2015 against the accused person at Mendhar Police Station and the police nabbed the accused youth within hours of the incident.
The woman was sent for Medical examination at Mendhar hospital.
