Awareness camp on ‘Cerebral Palsy’ held

KATHUA, Aug 21: A legal-cum-medical awareness camp regarding concept of Safe society to prevent the disease Cerebral Palsy and associated diseases was organized at District Hospital Kathua.
The camp was organized on the direction of Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Puneet Gupta.
Suresh Chander Katal, Additional Sessions Judge, Kathua, was the chief guest and Deepak Sethi, Chairman, Tehsil Legal Services Committee (CJM Kathua), presided over the function.
The main aim and objective of the camp was to aware the public about prevention of incurable disease ‘Cerebral Palsy’ and protection of human rights of affected persons.
Dr Pushpa Raina and Dr Uttamchand were the resource persons. The speakers deliberated upon cause, effects and rehabilitation of persons affected with disease ‘Cerebral Palsy’.
Basant Kumar Sharma, CMO Kathua, Dr Anoop Manhas, Medical Superintendent, District Hospital Kathua, Dr Kartar Verma, Community Health Officer, Kathua, along with other doctors, staff members, ASHA Workers, medical staff and PLVs, Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma, Advocate Rahul Sharma, Advocate Mandeep Singh and Sunita Devi, Retainer Lawyers of DLSA Kathua also participated in the camp.
