Religious prog held at Batote Gurdwara

RAMBAN, Aug 23:  56th Sikh `Gurmat Samagam’ was organised at Gurudwara Yadgar Sant Mela Singh Ji at Sant Rocha Singh Pura, Batote under the supervision of  Mahant Manjit Singh of  Nangali Sahib today.
The occasion marked the conclusion of the series of 115 Akhand Paath which had started about a month ago on the requests of various Sikh devotees.
The  `Shabad Kirtan’ by Bhai Daljit Singh of  Bala Pritam Singh, Jammu, Bhai Gurpreet Singh and Bhai Bachan Singh Pardesi besides Taadi Jatha of Bhai Amrik Singh of Pathankot were the major attractions for the devotees.
Giani Jagtar Singh- Head Granthi, Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, Rangeel Singh former Minister, Fateh Singh, Member DGPC, Pooran Singh, Bhai Lakhwinder Singh and Giani Swaran Singh’s preaches and sermons spiritually enlightened the devotees.
During his speech Rangeel Singh urged the State Government to resolve the decades old issue of refugees, problems faced by J&K transporters and redeem the status of Punjabi language.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest, MLA, Ramban, Neelam Langeh while appreciating the efforts of the local Sikh devotees under the stewardship of Mahant Manjit Singh in regularly organising this Samagam for last 56 years, said that he would fulfill the demand of the Gurdwara Committee if any, from his CDF whenever asked.
