SRINAGAR, Aug 24: As part of the ongoing Sports Festival, the Inter-Group Volleyball Tournament was inaugurated at Islamia College of Science & Commerce, here today.
Convener Sports Committee inaugurated the event at the College’s Volleyball court in an impressive function.
Two matches were played on the opening day today. In the first match, ICS Blues thrashed ICS Reds by two straight sets, while in the second match ICS Oranges defeated ICS Yellows again by two straight sets.
Convener Sports Committee in his speech impressed upon the students to take full advantage of the sports infrastructure of the College by participating in the Inter-Group Tournaments under Islamia College sports Festival, which ensures sports for all.
The Inter-Group Tournaments are being organized by the Department of Physical Education of the College.
In tomorrow’s fixture, ICS Blues will take on ICS Whites in first match and in the second match ICS Oranges will lock horns with ICS Greens.
