DGP announces special rewards

SRINAGAR, Aug 26: Stressing upon the wards of police personnel for getting modern education, the Director General of Police (DGP), K. Rajendra Kumar has said that access to quality education to make career bright was all the more necessary in the present era of competitive world. He said that the parents have great responsibilities to guide their wards towards right path so that they could excel in professional examinations and become shining stars of the society.
Congratulating the wards of police personnel for qualifying the competitive examination during the year 2014-15, Mr. Rajendra said that special cash rewards out of Central Police Welfare Fund have been sanctioned in favour of these wards, who have excelled in completive examinations. The students who have qualified the competitive examination in (Medical Streme) are Kirandeep Kour, Sahila Nazir and Vidushi Jamwal, who qualified for MS/MS and MBBS.
Mr. Rajendra said that in the present times our youth have to face tough competition to find a place in any professional discipline. He disclosed that Jammu and Kashmir Police Organization has been conducting free coaching and counseling classes for police wards to prepare them for participation in competitive examinations. He advised the students to take advantage of welfare scheme to make their career bright and prosperous.
DGP said that during current year till date, about Rs. 7 lakh special rewards have been disbursed among 129 police wards out of Central Police Welfare Fund.
