JAMMU, Aug 26: Non Teaching employees of SKUAST – Jammu today suspended their three-day long agitation following Vice Chancellor Pardeep K Sharma assured to consider their demands within a period of one month.
A marathon meeting was held with between Non-Teaching Association and the Vice Chancellor in presence of Director Research, Comptroller and Registrar of the University. After threadbare deliberations, the Vice Chancellor admitted that the demands submitted by the Association were genuine and assured for their redressal with in period of one month.
Subsequently, a meeting of Non Teaching Association was held under the chairmanship of B N Singh (president) and it was unanimously resolved to suspend the agitation for a period of one month. If our demands are not conceded with in stipulated period as promised by the Competent Authority, the agitation will continue, the Association warned.
