UDHAMPUR, Aug 31: Gujjar and Bakkarwal Pir Panjal Volleyball tournament was inaugurated by Lieutenant (Retired) Sanatan Singh, Vir Chakra on the occasion of Golden Jubilee Celebrations of 1965 War at Kandi, here. The grand sporting event is being organized by Rashtriya Rifles battalion based at Samote under the aegis of Rashtriya Rifles Uniform Force Headquarters based at Reasi. The untapped talent of the youth from the Gujjar and Bakkarwal community is being encouraged by the Army through this event. Eleven teams are participating in the Panchayats of Kotranka and Budhal tehsils in the week long tournament.
