KATHUA, Sept 2: Organized by the department of Youth Services and Sports J&K, the Inter District State Level Tournament in the discipline of Judo for boys Under 14, 17 and 19 years concluded here at Auditorium Hall of Govt Degree College Kathua.
The tournament was organized under the patronage of Jahangir Mir) and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jamm.
Meanwhile the District Jammu was declared as overall champion of Judo at State Level as Jammu lifted all three trophies Under-14,17 and 19 years. Hosting district Kathua remained runners-up in all three categories.
DYSSO S. Sunil Kumar presented the vote of thanks.
In Under-14 boys below 25 kg, Ranjeeet Singh of Reasi got first position and Ankush Kumar of Kathua claimed second, while in below 30 kg, Shivam Billowria of Jammu clinched first and Zehran Lone of Shopian won second place.
In below 35 kg, Kuldeep Singh of Reasi stood first and Adran Mushtaq of Shopian claimed second spot, while in below 40 kg, Romil Razdan of Jammu got first position and Sumit Kumar of Kathua claimed second position.
The matches were officiated by Virender Sharma, Pankaj Spolia, Rajive Kumar and Umar Hamza.
