KATHUA, Sept 7: A Police party of Police Station Lakhanpur during routine patrolling saw suspicious movements below Maghar Khad bridge.
The Police party cardoned the area and after reaching the spot found that 10 buffalos were being taken by Maried Ali S/o Faroz Din R/o Village Galak Tehsil Billawar District Kathua in association with two unknown persons towards Punjab via River Ravi on foot.
These persons on seeing the Police party fled away from the spot taking advantage of darkness. In this connection, a Case FIR No 64.2015 U/S 188 RPC stands registered at Police Station Lakhanpur and investigation of the case is going on. Bovine animals being transported illegally were seized and efforts are on to nab the accused persons.
