Poonch, Sept 8: Two days Rajiv Gandhi Khel Abhiyan Panchyat Level tournamnet Under-16 boys competition in the disciplines of kabbadi, badiminton, table tennis, hockey and football commenced at Sports Stadium, here.
The event is being was organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports.
Over 150 players drawn from Nangali, Kanuyian and Poonch zones participated in the tournament.
Principal Govt. Boys Hr Sec School Poonch, S. Kerath Singh was the cheif guest on the occassion.
The tournament was organised under the technical supervision of S Narjeet Singh, Mohd Qasim and Tej Kour.
In kabbadi, Panachyat Shapur defeated Panchyat Khari Karmara, while in badiminton, Panchyat Banwat got better of Panchyat Jhullas and in table tennis, Panchyat Jhullas defeated Panchyat Ajote.
The matches were officiated by Gurmeet SingH, Vijay Kumar, Davinder Singh, RS Toofan and Jasmeet Kour.
In tomorrow’s fixture, the matches will be played in the discipline of hockey and football at the same venue.
