JAMMU, Sept 8: A delegation of PHE Department Drivers, Cleaners Union under the leadership of KC Dubey, Mohan Singh and Davinder Singh today met the Chief Engineer, PHE Department and discussed their demands with him.
During the meeting, the delegation stressed for promotion of drivers cadre against the vacant pots lying in the department. The issue of declaration of department vehicles junked and off the road and hiring of private vehicles unlawfully was also discussed with the Chief Engineer and it was demanded that the fresh vehicles be purchased for uninterrupted and smooth water supply in the region.
Naresh Kumar, Tilak Raj, Joginder Singh, Charanjit Singh and Raman Lal were also part of the delegation.
