RAMBAN, Sept 10: Two persons got injured, when the truck they were traveling in, skidded off the road and rolled down into gorge near Shatani Nallah in tehsil Banihal.
The ill-fated vehicle (JK02AG-9805) carrying cold drink bottles was on its way to Srinagar from Jammu, when the driver failed to negotiate sharp curve and the vehicle landed into gorge near Shatani Nallah in tehsil Banihal.
After getting information, police team and locals rushed to the spot, rescued the two occupants and shifted them to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Banihal, where they were undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
The injured have been identified as Kuldeep Kumar (driver), son of Kasturi Lal and Rashpal (conductor), son of Gurcharan, both residents of Kalakote, district Rajouri.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Banihal police station and investigation started.
