LOS ANGELES, Sept 12: “Chasing Amy” actress Joey Lauren Adams is set to guest-star on the season 12 premiere of medical drama series “Grey’s Anatomy”.
Bailey (Chandra Wilson) will be competing to be the new Chief against a candidate that Catherine Avery (Debbie Allen) chooses, which will be played by Adams, reported entertainment Weekly.
“We’re going to watch Bailey make a play for chief. We’re going to see what it means if she does or doesn’t get it, and we’re going to watch her struggle with growing up in that sense,” executive producer Shonda Rhimes said.
The 47-year-old actress, whose TV credits include “Switched at Birth” and “United States of Tara”, is slated to appear in the season premiere which will air on September 24. (PTI)
