RAFIABAD, Sept 13: Pradesh Congress Committee president Ghulam Ahmed Mir has said that Government was invisible in the State and uncertainty continued to hit the people of the State.
Addressing a large public meeting at Chhabal in Rafiabad  today, Mir said State is  hallmark of secularism and is famous for its multi-cultured face but conspiracies are being   hatched aiming to disturb secular fabric of the State by dividing the people on religion and regional lines. Some `hidden’ elements are  trying to vitiate the atmosphere of peace for their vested interests. The Congress party would not allow any force  to disintegrate the State and  disturb peace, Mir said.
While cautioning the people PCC chief asked them to remain vigilant and counter those forces or factors aiming to communalize the situation for their vested interests.
Expressing confidence about the secular character and positive mindset of people, Mir said that   people are wise enough and understand the situations being created to vitiate the atmosphere of peace in the State.
Accusing Coalition Govt of mishandling the situations, PCC chief said people in all the three regions are suffering and confronted with multiple problems due to misrule and mishandling of the situations by the present dispensation. There is a complete uncertainty among the people in all the three regions for the fact that it (State Government)  is nowhere visible on ground.
Lashing out at PDP- BJP coalition for its failure on all fronts, PCC chief expressed his serious concern over the chaotic situation created due to wrong policies of   two parties with two different agendas, moving in different directions. Expressing apprehensions about the future of the State ahead, Mir said both PDP and BJP are ruling the State in a different manner, their   approach towards the State and people is very much confusing, sending wrong signals in the regions.
Reiterating Congress party’s stand about the development and progress of the State, PCC chief reminded the people of historic & revolutionary steps about overall development of the State taken by the party when in power, assured them (people) that Congress would continue to fight for the rights of every region, community and over all development of the State.
On this occasion prominent political figure of Rafiabad & business man Fayaz Ahmad Malik and former chief coordinator and executive members of PDP,  Dr Shahzad Asim from Sopore along with their hundreds of supporters joined Congress Party.
