JAMMU, Sept 15: Defending Champion combined streams of P.G. Department once again showed its supremacy and clinched the title trophy by defeating GDC Kathua in the ongoing inter-Collegiate Judo (Men) Championship 2015-16 organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Varsity Gymnasium, here today.
The gold medal winners in different weight categories included Sahil Dogra (GDC Hiranagar); Virbhadhar Singh, MIET; Akshey Chowdhary, GDC Paloura; Pushap Thakur, PG.Department; Ranjodh Singh, P.G. Deptt; Subash Singh, GDC Kathua; Sheran Mirza, P.G. Deptt;
On the closing day of the Championship, Prof. Dhian S. Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education awarded the winner’s trophy to the P.G. Department, University of Jammu.
The championship was organized and played under the direct supervision of Prof. Dhian S. Bhau, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Narayani Jamwal, Physical Director of GDC Paloura, Ravish Vaid and Gagan Kumar were also present on the occasion.
The championship was officiated by Surajbhan Singh, Vikas Dogra, Arshi Nad and Varinder Sharma, while it was conducted by Jai Bharat, Incharge Judo Championship, University of Jammu.
