Sculptures of Jammu artist to be displayed in New Delhi

JAMMU, Sept 15: An Art Exhibition titled ‘Within the Limits’ of Sculptures of Ravinder Singh Jamwal, a well known sculptor of Jammu, is to be displayed in an Art Exhibition at the gallery premises of Rabindra Bhavan, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi from September 17 to 23.
The works in the contemporary style of sculpture known as ‘Installations’, have been executed in different materials like steel, pvc, stone, wood and various metals. Principles behind the working of nature, universe and heavenly bodies within peculiar limits and restrictions have been selected as the theme of these sculpture installations.
Ravinder Jamwal has been decorated with Dogra Rattan Award (2013) and by organizations like- Sahyog India (2011), Dogri Sanstha (2011), 92.7 FM (2011), Panun Kashmir (1992), All India Art Exhibition, Amritsar (1996), Best Artist award by ANN (2006-07), Annual State Award by J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages, Jammu (1994 and 2002, Junior Fellowship by Ministry of Human Resources (1996- 98).
