JAMMU, Sept 16: To shortlist and select the players for this season starting from October 1, 2015, the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association is holding Ranji Trophy Camp from tomorrow (Thursday) at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy, here.
According to a handout issued by In-charge Jammu wing, Ankush Abrol, the camp will begin at 9 am sharp.
“As per the directions of president JKCA, Dr Farooq Abdullah the official selection trial camp for Ranji Trophy 2015-16 will begin on September 17, 2015 at MGCA. All senior cricketers desirous to take part in the Camp will have to report to Ashwani Gupta (coach) and Shashi Kumar (assistant coach) at 9 am sharp at the venue, ” Mr Abrol said.
Meanwhile, JKCA has also announced the panel of selectors for this season. Ranji Trophy selectors include Pradeep Bali, Sanjay Sharma, Qayoom Khan and Huwaid Ronga, while Under-23 selectors include Sandeep Singh, Randhir Singh Jamwal, Sheikh Sajjad and Nazir Magray.
Inderjeet Singh, Sanjay Sharma (jr), Imtiyaz Ahmed and Asif Jeelani will be the selectors for Under-19 boys, while Sarveshwar Singh, Ashok Kumar, Parvez Wani and Muzaffar Jan are Under-16 boys selectors.
The Under-14 boys selectors include Ravi Kant Raina, Raman Kumar, Sameer Bhat and Rakesh Koul.
