JAMMU, Sept 16: The rebel faction of Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) led by Minister for Youth Services and Sports, Imran Raza Ansari is leaving no stone unturned rather is hell bent upon to hamper cricket activities in the State.
This faction is burning mid-night oil to keep the players in a fix by projecting themselves to be custodians of JKCA and engaging the players in illegal Camps by using Government machinery.
This statement was issued by Arvinder Singh Micky, chairman JKCA while addressing media persons at Amar Singh Club here today.
He said that Ansari faction is illegally indulging in the affairs of JKCA, throwing constitution into winds, adding that lust for power and pelf forces them to use illegal means in intervening into the affairs of JKCA.
The chairman JKCA further said, “We are holding and will be organizing JKCA Camps as per the Court order as the Court has already stayed the so called election held by the rebel group on July 20, 2015. JKCA will hold the Ranji Trophy Camp from tomorrow, while the Camp for the Under-19 girls is going on at Mayank Goswami Cricket Academy from last 10 days.”
The members said that the Court has kept the General Council Meeting and Working Committee Meeting held by Ansari group in Abeyance till final outcome of the main case.
While welcoming the CBI probe in the JKCA scam, the chairman also sought CBI intervention and probe into the certificate scam of JKCA.
Terming the scam as brutal act, he said a few members from rebel faction have issued certificates to their kiths and kins, friends and favourites.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Dr Ashutosh Sharma, Chaman Lal Chrangoo, Ankush Abrol, Rohit Malhotra, Prof BD Damral, Shamboo Nath Sharma, AK Tickoo, Vijay Sharma, CL Suri and others.
