Political Migrant Front meets Governor

SRINAGAR, Sept 17: A delegation of Jammu & Kashmir Political Migrant Front led by its Chairman, Sheikh Mohi-ud-Din Shabnam, met Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan.
The delegation apprised the Governor about the problems of the political migrants who are staying in various security zones for the past over 15 years. Their demands included rehabilitation of political migrants at the district headquarters; improving their socio-economic conditions; adjustment/reservation of seats for their wards in different professional courses; consideration of political migrants as freedom fighters; verification of migrant cases pending in the relief organization at Jammu; induction of political migrants in the State level Apex Committee and grant benefits under PM’s package etc.
The Governor gave a patient hearing to the delegation and assured to take up their demands with the Chief Minister.
The delegation comprised Choudhary Qamur-ud-Din, Syed Parveiz Hilal, Nisar Ahmed Nisar, Begum Jan, Zareena Ji, Mohammad Ramzan Dar, Abdul Hamid Rather, Mushtaq Ahmed Khan, Mohammad Hussain and Ghulam Nabi Bhat.
