JAMMU, Sept 22: The Interact Club of Model Academy in collaboration with Rotary Club Jammu held an installation ceremony of the new Interact members at the School premises today.
Danish Rana, IGP Jammu was the chief guest on this occasion, who was accompanied by Ashok Gupta, president Rotary Club, Dr. Adit Gupta, Joint Director, MIER, Senior Office bearers and members of the Rotary club along with faculty and students of Model Academy.
Dr. Adit Gupta welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries and applauded the efforts of Rotary Club Jammu for working closely with students to develop their leadership skills, initiate environmental projects and conduct community service activities.
President of Rotary Club highlighted the achievements of the club especially in bringing down the polio rate in the state and for initiating the biggest literacy drive. He assured that the members of the Rotary Club would always provide support to the students in achieving the objectives of the Interact Club.
Danish Rana presented a collar to the newly elected Interact president, Apurva Gupta of class 12th.
In his address, Mr. Rana praised the school for contributing a lot in the field of education. He advised the members of the Interact club to spread the fragrance of being a good human being and lead from the front when doing work for the members of the community.
Interact member Muskan Dhar presented the vote of thanks.
Rotarian Dr. Dushant Chowdhary and Manju Vali convener co-curricular committee coordinated the programme.
