JAMMU, Sept 24: Gandhi Global Family (J&K) organized a UN Quiz Competition among the students of Arya Samaj School, Jammu as a part of 12-day Campaign from Peace to Non Violence initiated by UN Information Centre (UNIC) for India and Bhutan.
The function started with a brief on “Peace and the Role of UN” by Padmashri S P Varma, vice president Gandhi Global Family.
In his statement, he expressed that Youth are the most vital link to bring peace around the world.
Later, Ms Priya conducted Quiz based on United Nations and its functions, where large participation from the students was witnessed.
A large number of questions were asked to the participants who promptly and correctly responded to most of the questions.
The winners were awarded with prizes.
Principal of the School, Sarika Narang expressed her delight in organizing such events by Gandhi Global Family. She extended her full support to UNIC and GGF in organizing such activities in future as well.
The others dignitaries who participated and spoke on the occasion were Shashi Jamwal, Bharati Gupta, Shannu Sen, Anjali Dogra and Neelam.
