KATHUA, Sept 30: Chief Education Officer (CEO) withheld the salary of 8 employees, working in two Government schools for remaining unauthorizedly absent.
As per official handout, DC Kathua Ramesh Kumar visited Government High School, Galak and Government Middle School, Galak.
During his visit, DC found 8 employees of the institution absent and asked Chief Education Officer (CEO), Kathua to charge sheet and call the explanation of the employees.
The employees, who were found absent include Kewal Krishan Sharma, Headmaster, Government High School, Galak, Amrit Lal, Master, Jia Lal, Teacher, Nirmal Sehral, Master, Rakhi Anand, Teacher, Ganesh Dutt, PEM, Vijay Kumar, PET and Rattan Jyoti, Master.
On the directions of Deputy Commissioner, CEO Kathua directed the employees to explain their position within three days positively failing which they will be placed under suspension without further notice.
He also ordered that the salary of all the 8 employees will be kept withheld for the month of September till further orders.
