KATHUA, Oct 1: The irate residents of village Pathwal blocked Jammu-Pathankote National Highway near Dayala Chak for one hour today in protest against registering a case against a youth of the village on flimsy grounds.
The protestors raising slogans against the police demanded immediate withdrawal of the case against the youth named Neetu of village Pathwal.
They said that Neetu had tried to pacify the two factions of youth who attacked each other in the village few days back and Hiranagar Police named him in the FIR which was totally wrong.
Later the senior police officers rushed to the spot and assured the agitating youth that it will review the case.
