KPC opposes settlement in clusters

JAMMU, Oct 7:  Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) has rejected the fresh proposal of the Government regarding the return of displaced Pandits to Valley and settling them in clusters at district headquarters.
To take displaced Kashmiri Pandits back to Valley and to settle them in clusters near district head quarters is nothing but an eye wash and is hoodwink with the KP community, said KPC chief Kundan Kashmiri in a statement here today.
While taking strong note of the statement of Relief, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Minister, Basharat Bukhari given in State Assembly yesterday, that displaced KPs would be settled in the clusters at various places in the Valley, Kashmiri termed it a big conspiracy against the community.
He said this will not be tolerated anymore and construction of various clusters for the settlement of displaced families is no way out and solution of the problem.
He expressed shock over Government’s callousness towards the peace loving and nationalist community.
KPC chief stated that under present circumstances situation in Kashmir is going bad to worst and return of Kashmiri Pandits in any form is not possible and acceptable nor lollipop schemes like Prime Ministers return package is  workable. Return of KPs would be possible only at consolidated portion of “Kashyap Land” under the complete writ of Indian Constitution.
As regards  special PM Package and  another  three thousand posts for unemployed  displaced  youths, Kashmiri demanded that financial  benefits of package be given at present locations to migrants and unemployed  youths to be  adjusted  in  different Central administrative offices outside the Valley till restoration of peace and normalcy in Kashmir.
