JAMMU, Oct 8: Girls showed promise and displayed skill and talent in the Inter School District Level competition in the sports discipline of Roller Skating, which got underway at MA Stadium, here today.
The competition is being organised by the Department of Youth Services and Sports as a part of annual calendar of sports activities under the patronage of Jahangir Mir, Director General Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director and Sukhdev Raj Sharma, DYSSO Jammu.
Earlier, in Quad U-11 Girls (1000 Mtrs), Navrite Sharma of G D Goneka bagged 1st place, Mudita of D P S, 2nd and Jiya Sharma of Presentation Convent, 3rd, while in Inline U-11 girls 500 mtrs, Priyanshi of Carmal Convent bagged gold, Gursimran Jodhamal Public School claimed silver and Roohika of Raina Hr Sec School won bronze medal.
In other events the gold medal winners included Priyanshi of Carmel Convent, Jahanvi of Presentation Convent, Kanishka of K V No-1, Nikita of Presentation Convent, Rajmanya of DPS, Somya of DPS and Jasleen Kour of Banyan International. The matches were officiated by Rajesh Bandral, Krish, Sanjay Khajuria, Ankush, Gurbachan Singh, Ravinder Singh and Harpreet Bhalla.
