SRINAGAR, Oct 10: Minister of State for Power, Mohammad Ashraf Mir while replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Surinder Chowdhary regarding purchase of DG sets & HS Diesel in un-electrified villages of Kukshoo in Kargil informed the House that Rs 1818.75 lakh have been authorized for replacement of DG sets and HS Diesel during financial year 2015-16 for Ladakh region (including District Kargil)
He further informed that sufficient stock of HSD is available to provide power through DG sets, while proposal of electrification of Kukshow (Chiktan) has been taken up under RGGVY but due to flooding and pilferage of material the network erected has not been commissioned and balance work has not been completed by the executing agency i. e. NHPC till date.
He further added that execution of RGGVY by NHPC has been pursued by PDD in September 2015.
