JAMMU, Oct 12: The State High Court has issued directives to Deputy Comm-issioner Anantnag to stop the excavation of earth from survey No 602 falling in Jablipora Halqa of Bijbehara Tehsil. The Court also directed the DC to remove encroachments from Survey No 558, 565 and 631.
The directions were passed by Mr Justice B L Bhat, Judge of the State High Court on a writ petition filed by Prof M L Tickoo and Avtar Krishan Koul both residents of Bijbehara on behalf of Devasthan Prabandhak Com-mittee Bijbehara through P N Bhat Advocate.
The respondents have also been asked to file compliance report by next date of hearing.
